SATURDAY: Newly opened, on Saturdays there is a weekly farmers market at Skerries Mills, offering local produce and traditional fare including fruits and vegetables and cakes and jams with the beautiful backdrop of the famous mills making for a lovely few hours.

MARCH: Everyone knows the most popular day in the Irish calendar is March 17th - St. Patrick's Day and what with the historic connections to St. Patrick himself the Skerries Parade is one of the best in small town Ireland with the entire community turning out to join in, either by lining the streets in support of their beloved village or by appearing on one of the many wonderful floats that pass by the crowds each year, to find out more and to see photographs of past parades see www.skerrieschamber.com

JULY: Each year, for the 1st weekend in July Skerries is visited by thousands of leather clad motorcycle racers and fans alike as Skerries plays host to the Skerries 100 Motorbike Road Races, one of the most famous motorcycle road races in Ireland attracting crowds of up to 65,000 race fans every year. SEPTEMBER: Motorcycle racing also hits Skerries for the 2nd weekend of each September as the Killalane Road Races arrive. While not quite as big an event as it's July counterpart, the Skerries 100, the Killalane Road Races are rapidly becoming just as popular among race fans. Also taking place in September, during the 3rd weekend of the month is the huge Skerries Soundwaves Music Festival organised entirely by the Skerries Community Association. DECEMBER: Even the cold winter doesn't stop the people of Skerries from having a good time, every December there is the traditional turning on of the Christmas lights coupled up with a visit from Santa Claus.
